ABOUT THE ROLE

We are now looking for a Corporate Services Director (Strategy & Growth) to be a part of our exciting journey. The role will provide high-level strategic and executive oversight of this portfolio which includes:

• Strive Community Care (NDIS)
• Patch Property Maintenance and Repairs
• Registered Training Organisation (name TBC)

This position will play a key role in strategic planning and sourcing growth opportunities, particularly in the RTO sector. They will work closely with the Managing Director to explore and apply for business opportunities that fit within Strive’s Vision, Mission, and Values.

 

The Corporate Services Director (Strategy & Growth) will play a key role in working with relevant stakeholders to ensure the organisation and portfolio are best placed for growth as quality providers in respective sectors. This is guided by Strive’s 3-year Strategic Plan and the Corporate Services Director (Strategy & Growth) may be responsible for some operational functions as temporary measures as the portfolio develops.


The position is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and will work to promote and achieve organisational cohesion, the development of a culture of continuous improvement, and the promotion and adherence of organisational values. This includes assisting the Managing Director in ensuring inter-departmental collaboration beyond individual portfolios, particularly in carrying out organisational improvement, quality assurance initiatives, and risk management processes.

This is a full-time role working out of our Seventeen Miles Rocks (Brisbane) office with tools of the trade (mobile phone and laptop) provided as part of the employment package. 

 

Duties of the successful applicant include:

• Manage all aspects of communication, relationships and engagement with internal and external stakeholders relevant to the portfolio.
• Ensure that all contractual requirements are met on time and to a high standard.
• Identify growth opportunities within the portfolio sectors; develop specific business case/s to support these opportunities and, once approved, develop relevant business plans to support implementation.
• As delegated by Managing Director, meet operational responsibilities for the portfolio as a temporary measure at times when the organisational structure is developing.
• Identify business opportunities, supported by robust business development cases, that fit within Strive’s Vision, Mission and Values for consideration by the Managing Director.
• Contribute towards whole of organisation policy development & review.
• Develop strategic and operational plans and implement same.
• Work with the Managing Director to develop high quality evaluations frameworks and practices and implement same.
• Lead business transformation by the delivery of improvement projects that support the organisation to continuously and measurably improve processes, productivity, innovation and collaboration.
• Oversee the implementation of all quality and compliance internal audits and program reviews.
• Oversee the reporting processes for Business Units’ Operational Plans.
• Oversee the reporting processes for projects undertaken by the Organisational Management Group.
• Oversee the activities of the Organisational Risk Management Group.
• Ensure processes are in place to ensure that Strive gains and maintains relative accreditations (HSQF, Child Safety Licensing, RTO/ASQA, etc).
• Ensure development and adherence to an Annual Marketing & Communications Plan, that supports the whole of portfolio/organisation needs.

 

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant/s will require the following Qualifications and Experience:

• At least three years’ experience in an executive business leadership role (ideally with experience in the NDIS or RTO sectors).
• The experience and skills to independently develop strategic plans and business plans in an entrepreneurial growth-stage environment.
• Strong leadership skills, effective time management, and an ability to work across all levels of the portfolio/organisation.
• Independently assess challenges and creatively problem-solve.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong & proven ability to prospect for new business relationships and secure ongoing networks.
• Ability to advocate on behalf of Strive and those we represent.

• An appropriate tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Social Work, or a related discipline.
• Must hold a Positive Notice Blue Card (WWCC) and Yellow Card - or able to obtain.
• Valid unrestricted Australian drivers licence
