Job Requirements

Your Qualifications:

Passion for teaching students 3-15 years old

Bachelor's degree required (university/college degree)

Native or can prove native-level fluency

Valid driver's license (preferred)

ESL/EFL teaching experience (preferred)

Conversational Japanese (preferred)

Certification in (CELTA/TESOL/TEFL) (Preferred)

Job Description

About Us: 

Keio Academy, was founded in 1984.  It is a well-known and respected institution in Northern Kyushu.  We currently have 3 schools with around 400 students.  Our school policy is to provide the best educational environment for all learners, from infants to working adults.

About the Position:

We are looking for people with positive personalities who enjoy teaching and we try to place our teachers where they will succeed best. The hired teacher will provide lessons not only at our 3 Keio Academy schools, but also at local kindergartens, elementary schools and/or businesses, so there are many opportunities to gain or improve your teaching skills and form bonds with students and the local community.

Contract: Commencing April 1st, 2024 (Training starts in mid-March)

Hours: 5 days a week, usually 22-25 lesson hours per week. (40 total working hours)

City Description:

Nakatsu City is castle town in northern Kyushu. It is a mid-sized city home to many shrines (including the famous Usa Jingu), temples, teahouses and the yearly Gion festival. It is also near larger city like Fukuoka or the hot springs resort town of Beppu. (More information in the Company Description)
